Ukraine sent a note of protest to Russia over the parade in Sevastopol

The ministry noted that further militarization of Crimea poses a significant threat to regional security

Ukraine sent a note of protest to Russia over the parade of the Russian Navy in Sevastopol on 26 July. This is stated on the website of the Foreign Ministry.

In the statement of the department, the holding of the parade in Crimea without the consent of Ukraine is assessed as another violation by the Russian side of the norms of international law.

"Ukraine demands from the Russian Federation to immediately cease internationally wrongful acts against the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," the statement says.

The ministry noted that further militarization of Crimea poses a significant threat to regional security.

On July 26, festive events were held in Russia for the Day of the Russian Navy. Naval parades were held in St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Sevastopol and other cities.
