Ukraine in Arabic | Ukrainian Ministry of Culture has legalized the Public Council

The Public Council includes 110 non-governmental organizations. These organizations form 5 commissions, including the Commission on Ethnic Relations.

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On August 21st, Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevgeniy Nischuk harmonized provisions about Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and approved its structure, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Public Council includes 110 non-governmental organizations. These organizations form 5 commissions, including the Commission on Ethnic Relations.

Earlier, on July 24, 2014, an organizational meeting of the Committee on International Relations was held at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. Chairman of the International Union public organization (IU) Larisa Abramovich and president of the Union of the Uralic peoples in Ukraine Nadezhda Efimishch were chosen as the head and deputy head of the Commission respectively.

It should be noted that representatives of the IU regularly take part in activities aimed at the protection and promotion of the rights of national minorities in the Ukrainian society.  The organization aims to create comfortable conditions for the life of different nationalities and cultures in Ukraine.
