Eva Kopach Prime Minister of Poland considers that the conflict in Ukraine is the first, where blood is shed for the European Union

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The Prime Minister of Poland eve Kopach believes that the crisis in Ukraine is the largest conflict since the cold war. According to her, this is the first conflict in which blood is shed for the European Union, Polish radio reports.

 "The conflict in Eastern Ukraine is the biggest crisis in Europe since the cold war," said the Prime Minister of Poland eve Kopach. She added that lightly would be to ignore the problem. "We have to balance between too much effort to guarantee the security of their country and its citizens and at the same time to fight for what today is struggling Ukraine: for the first time actually shedding blood for the European Union and integration efforts with the Community," he said.

 According to her, Ukraine, which is fighting for its sovereignty and right to be part of Western Europe, sees this as an opportunity for their own development. "And this is their sovereign decision should be respected. On the other hand, it is necessary to condemn someone who does not respect this decision," said the head of government.

Kopach also believes that the strength of the Polish security in the power of NATO. She recalled that in Poland the spending on defense is now 2% of GDP.
