Ukraine in Arabic | Turkey launches €10-billion Azeri gas pipeline project

The presidents of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey Ilham Aliyev, Giorgi Margvelashvili and Tayyip Erdogan Tuesday gave a start to the construction of TRANS-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) in the province of Kars in northeastern Turkey Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The TANAP project envisages construction by 2019 system of gas from the Azerbaijani Shah Deniz field via Turkey.
Every year it is planned to put 6 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey and 10 billion cubic meters to Europe. In the future, the capacity of the pipeline can be increased up to 31 billion cubic meters.
"This project is not an alternative to any other. Need it in many countries. We plan to make Turkey a center of distribution of energy resources. 1800 kilometres of the pipeline, which will be held on our twenty provinces, will make a major contribution to their development," he said at the opening ceremony of the pipeline President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
