Ukraine in Arabic | Turchynov has been asked to return a single government agency that would deal with issues of minorities and religion
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On Thursday, October 16th, during an official meeting between the Speaker of Ukraine’s Parliament Oleksandr Turchynov, representatives of DUMU (Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims) and national minorities, a head of the International Union public organization (IU) Larisa Abramovich drew attention to the need to develop the concept of ethno-national politics.
“The national minorities of Ukraine want to take part in the development of the conceptual projects”, - she said. According to Abramovich, the majority of representatives of Ukrainian national minorities are the patriots of their country. “They tirelessly work for the benefit of Ukraine but they are often confronted with problems because of unorganized relations between our state and ethnic minorities. Thus, there is a need to return to a single state body that would deal with issues of minorities and religion”, - she noted.
The representatives of IU regularly take part in activities aimed at the protection and promotion of the rights of national minorities in the Ukrainian society. The organization aims to create comfortable conditions for the life of different nationalities, cultures and religions in Ukraine.
