"The military threat from the East" remains in force, even if the truce holds between government troops and Pro-Russian rebels in the East, said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Widely regarded as an indirect reference to Russia, Poroshenko warns.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ Ukraine and the West accuse Russia of helping the rebels weapons and soldiers - a claim denied by Moscow.

Ukrainian military said on Friday that three soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours, despite the truce. Seven soldiers were wounded, the press Secretary of the Ukrainian military Andrei Lysenko said at a press briefing.

Following 48 hours, during which the Ukrainian military, " said he suffered no deaths, raising hopes that the cease-fire can hold.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that "the military threat from the East" will remain, even if the truce holds between government troops and Pro-Russian rebels in the East. OSCE observers are trying to verify the withdrawal of heavy weapons from both sides

As in Ukraine, and the rebels say they now withdraw their heavy weapons from the front line in accordance with the terms of the truce agreed in Minsk, Belarus.

The process has not yet been officially confirmed by international observers from the organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The truce came into force on 15 February, but the rebels seized the key city of Debaltsevo just a few days later.

Fighting began in Ukraine in the Eastern Donetsk and Lugansk regions, known as the " Donbass - in April, a month after Russia annexed the Crimea.

nearly 5,800 people died since then, according to UN estimates, while at least 1.25 million have fled their homes since the conflict began.
