Ukraine in Arabic | The nuclear talks between US and Iran will extend to Saturday
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Representatives of Iran and US began their new round of bilateral political-technical talks in Geneva on Thursday aimed at decreasing differences and achieving a final agreement on Iranˈs nuclear program, which lasted 11 hours yesterday and continue today.
The Iranian delegation is headed by deputy foreign ministers Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi and the US delegation by Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and Deputy Secretary of State William Joseph Burns, all of whom are their countriesˈ representatives in Iran-Sextet nuclear talks.
Also Deputy Foreign Minister for Political and International Affairs Hamid Baiedinejad heads Iranian delegation for expert level nuclear negotiations in Geneva while the US delegation is headed by Jim Timby; they held talks for 5 hours on Thursday.
After the long Vienna 6 nuclear talks between Iran and the Sextet this is the second round of the comprehensive talks between the Iranian and the US delegations.
On September 10 Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the the representative of G5+1 Catherine Ashton held talks in the Belgian capital city, Brussels, to discussions over Tehran nuclear issue.
The next round of Iran-Sextet talks is scheduled for September 18 in New York, while on September 11 the representatives of Iran are going to hold separate bilateral talks with the envoys of three European countries, Britain, Germany and France in the Austrian capital city, Vienna.
The 5+1 will discuss ways to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal with Iran based on the interim nuclear deal clinched in November 2013, called Joint Plan of Action, which ended on July 20 but the two sides failed to reach an agreement to start drafting a final comprehensive deal and they agreed to extend negotiations until November 24.
Before meeting the US officials in Geneva both heads of the Iranian delegation held intensive talks with EU officials in separate visits of EU capital cities.
Both sidesˈ high ranking officials have in various occasions expressed optimism for achieving a comprehensive agreement within the remaining three months, which has obviously highly worried the official of the racist Zionist regime that have already started their own negative maneuvering and propagations aimed at preventing a successful end to the lingering, unnecessary nuclear crisis.
