Ukraine in Arabic | The Muslim community of Nikolaev held a grand iftar
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Nikolaev Muslims took part in a traditional iftar dedicated to the blessed month of Ramadan. The dinner was held at The Beach banquet hall in Nikolaev, the press service of the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU) reported.
Such events supported by DUMU have become a good tradition not only in Nikolaev but all over Ukraine. “Every year with the support of the Religious Administration of the Ukrainian Muslims Nikolaev’s Muslims gather all together to take a meal after fasting”, - the official website of the DUMU says.
It is worth noting that the iftar was attended by over 200 people, of different nationalities. At dinner the guests listened to reading of the holy Quran verses and watched a short film about the life and work of the Muslim community in the city of Nikolaev.
The event was also attended by representatives of the local public authorities. Head of Religious Affairs Nikolaev Regional State Administration Alexander Kostashenko wished everybody peace, happiness and prosperity.
