Ukraine in Arabic | The meeting of the Commission on National Minorities held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Committee of Ukraine on Nationalities and Religions, members of the International Union public organization (IU), representatives of Dagestani and the Chechen diaspora and others.
According to the head of the department of culture of ethnic groups in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Diaspora Lyubov Zubko, her organization works on conservation and protection of the rights of national minorities living in Ukraine.
“We’re involved in in the work on the commemoration of victims of the Holocaust and on the celebration of Novruz. Today we’re very pleased to learn about the protection of national rights Northern Caucasus peoples.In this regard, we have valuable experience of working with the Diaspora of the Chechen people in Ukraine”, - she said.
Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Murad Kaymarazov said that there are a lot of laws to protect the rights of ethnic minorities in our country.
“On Sundays we on the regional TV channel it tells about the life of small nations. Besides we organized various meetings with the pupils on this topic. Also we published a book about the multinational composition of the Nikolayev region”, - Kaymazarov said.
The head of the Diaspora of the Chechen people in Ukraine Daniil Goncharov said that coordination of national societies of Ukraine is one of the pledges of successful conservation and protection of ethnic and cultural heritage of national communities.
A representative of the Kabardian people Janna Khuseynova noted that there is a necessity of uniting and carrying out common events of Ukrainian diasporas.
Chairman of the board of the Diaspora of the Chechen people in Ukraine Salman Sadayev called a mistake the elimination of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions. According to him such a decision had a negative impact on the work with national minorities.
Upon completion of the event the chairman of IU Larisa Abramovich invited representatives of state bodies, national communities to take part in the forum of small nations, which will be held on March 23 at the National Business center of business and cultural cooperation.
