Ukraine in Arabic | The meeting of Chechen Diaspora took place in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On November 17, 2012, the meeting of The Diaspora of Chechen people Ukrainian public organization was held in Kiev. It was attended by Chechens of Kiev, the leader of Diaspora Daniil Goncharov, the head of The International Union civil organization (IU) Larisa Abramovich, a chairman of the Dagestani diaspora in Ukraine Zubayir Kadirhanov, as well as the guest of honor - head of Information and Analytical Department of the President and Government of the Chechen Republic Alvi Karimov.
Larisa Abramovich described the outcomes of From the Dnieper to the Terek River festival held 22-24 of October. According to her, it was the biggest event, organized by The Diaspora.
Within the festival the cooperation agreement between IU, Diaspora of Chechen people and Demeevskaya library. The opening of The Nohcho Chechen dance studio in Kiev also became a significant event. A concert tour through the cities of Ukraine of The Vaynah State Dance Ensemble was the largest project of the festival.
The editor in chief of The UMMA news agency Oksana Chernenko told that 5 national TV channels, 63 Internet information resources, as well as local Ukrainian medias highlighted the event.
Alvi Karimov said that Ramzan Kadyrov highly appreciated the conduct of the festival and instructed to continue working in this direction.
Chechen official also expressed hope for further joint activities of Chechen and Dagestani diaspora in Ukraine.
Zubayir Kadirhanov on behalf of his countrymen expressed support for cultural, educational and other projects held by The Diaspora.
Salman Sadaev reported that organization has recently joined the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
Daniil Goncharov noted that festival has attracted interest of the public authorities.
“We strive to be more perfect, more popular in the Ukrainian society. Currently, we are developing a program of Legal Aid Center to help to defend the rights of Chechens and representatives of other nationalities”, he said.
After the meeting all participants received information materials about festival and souvenirs.
