Ukraine in Arabic | The EU extended sanctions for six months against separatists

The EU extended sanctions against separatists, Russian companies and officials.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The Council of the European Union on Friday decided to extend for six months the sanctions against 150 people and 37 companies in connection with their actions aimed at undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine. This is stated in a communiqué issued by the EU Council on Friday.

Sanctions against individuals and organizations extended for six months.  "Another six months, i.e. until 15 September, the extended mode of the asset freeze and travel ban (in the EU - as amended) in respect of 150 individuals and 37 organizations for their actions aimed at undermining the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine," reads the communiqué.

The decision to extend sanctions taken into execution of the decisions of the Council of the EU on 29 January.

 This list included a number of Russian government officials, politicians, parliamentarians, businessmen, high-ranking representatives of various ministries and departments, and heads of Crimea, unrecognized LNR and DNR

In addition, it includes companies and organizations from Russia, including from the Crimea, as well as paramilitary groups of self-proclaimed LNR and DNR
