Ukraine in Arabic | The concert dedicated to the International Day of Peace held in Kiev

Representatives of the Tatars, Azeris, Bulgarians, Jews and Russians, making national performances, have once again shown that Ukrainians, regardless of nationality and united people.

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On Friday, September 19th, the gala concert "Zarady maybutnyogo" (For the sake of future),dedicated to the International Day of Peace, was organized in the hall of the Kiev’s Congress Hall. The event was held by Center of National Cultures in conjunction with the International Union public organization the Assembly of Nationalities in Ukraine.

Professional groups and performers, as well as amateur ones, participated the concert. National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments, The Sun choreographic ensemble, The Galatea dance group, national artist of Ukraine Larisa Khorolets, soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleg Filippenko, Honored Artist of Crimea Lenar Osmanova, laureate of international contests Tatyana Stepanova, the winner of the All-Ukrainian competitions Armen Vardanyan and the national artist of Ukraine Qurban Abbasov also took part at the event.

Artists have said many words about the importance of peace and international friendship, especially in these difficult times for Ukraine.

The main organizer of the event, representative of the Center of National Cultures Valentina Maslenko said that as the International Day of Peace is still very young holiday (United Nations General Assembly established it in September 2001, very few people, especially in Ukraine, celebrate it. "But it’s really great holiday and we should celebrate it. I am grateful for the support of International Unionin organizing this wonderful concert. I hope that we will continue to work closely together.", she said.
