Ukraine in Arabic | The Book contracts – 2012 international exposition held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On December 15-16, The Book contracts – 2012 III Kiev international fair was organized in Kiev. The artistic, scientific, educational, historical, and other types of literature were presented at the exhibition. The event was attended by guests from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Czech Republic, Finland and Greece.
Among the more than 100 publishing houses, including such as Grani-T, Vydavnytstvo Starolo Leva (Old Lion Publisher), Folio, Musical Ukraine and others, there also was a stand of The Aya Group publishing house. This publisher releases religious literature in close cooperation with the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU). It’s representative stressed that Aya Group carefully examines the compliance of published religious literature to Islamic knowledge.
“There are a lot of books about Islam at the Kiev’s market, however, the most of them do not truly reflect the essence and foundation of this religion. The authors of these publications are often the Orientalists. Talking about Islam, they often provide false information. Our publishing house is working closely with DUMU and has the exclusive right to publish religious books. Islamic literature that we publish is thoroughly tested by the experts of DUMU. The aim of this cooperation is to familiarize people with Islamic religion without distortion and fabrications”, she said.
According to her, at exhibition also was children's literature on Islam with help of which the young Muslims can learn about ablution and prayer.
