Ukraine in Arabic | The All-Ukrainian open meeting of the Diaspora of Chechen people held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Ukraine is a young country and its national minorities should make a lot of efforts to develop the country. The head of the Diaspora of Chechen people in Ukraine Daniil Goncharov said this at his speech on October 24, 2013.
According to him, Ukrainians of different origin consider Ukraine their motherland.
"We organized this meeting to show our activity to other non-governmental organizations and representatives of other national societies," - he said.
Addressing the audience, Goncharov stressed the importance of the existing relations between the Chechen diaspora and the lauthorities of the Chechen Republic.
"Chechen Republic is the rear of our diaspora. Having such a strong base, Ukrainian Chechens feel good," - he said.
The head of the Diaspora of Chechen people thanked the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov and the head of Kadyrov’s press service Alvi Karimov for their support of the Chechen diaspora in Ukraine. Participated in the meeting representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations highly appreciated the work of the Chechen diaspora.
According to Ukrainian politician and public figure Yuri Zbitnev, the Chechen diaspora has shown its ability to build good neighborly relations.
The head of the African Council of Ukraine Mohamed Sesay also agreed with him.
Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information of the Chechen Republic Shaid Zhamaldaev highly appreciated the work the Chechen diaspora. He noted that Grozny attaches great importance to developing relations with the Chechens living outside the Republic.
The Diaspora of the Chechen people cares not only about the interests of Chechens but also about interests of other minorities of Ukraine.
