Ukraine in Arabic | National Exit Poll: Ukraine PM’s team leads elections
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ The parties of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy have won seats on the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation. They are followed by the Opposition Bloc and the parties of Oleh Liashko, Oleksandr Tiahnybok and Yulia Tymoshenko.
The following are the results of the National Exit Poll that were released by Head of the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation Iryna Bekeshkina.
A total of 23% of Ukrainian voters backed the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party, 21.3% - People's Front party, 13.2% - Samopomich Association party, 7.6% - Oppositional bloc, 6.4% - Radical Party of Oleh Liashko, 6.3% - Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association party, 5.6% - Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association according to the National exit poll results data.
The abovementioned political parties overcome the 5-percent threshold and thus, enter the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation.
The closest to the threshold are Civic Initiative of Anatolii Hrytsenko with 3.5%, Communist Party with 2.9%, Strong Ukraine of Serhii Tihipko with 2.6%, Right Sector with 2.4% and the Zastup All-Ukrainian Agrarian Association with 1.8%.
Other political forces got less than 1% of voters' support.
The organizers polled 16,643 respondents at 400 electoral precincts in all regions of the country, where the snap parliamentary elections were conducted.
The sampling error does not exceed 2.5%.
As reported earlier, the Democratic Initiatives fund named after Ilko Kucheriv, Kyiv International Sociology Institute, and the Oleksandr Razumkov's center for economic and political researches have created a consortium to hold the National exit poll for snap parliamentary elections on October 26.
