Ukraine in Arabic | Muslims in Ukraine celebrated birthday of prophet Muhammad
Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ Recently Muslims all over the world celebrated birthday of Prophet Muhammad. By tradition this feast is on 12th day of third month of lunar calendar Rabi' al-awwal – one of the most honorable months in Islam, in which was born and died founder of Islam.
The joy of this event shared also Muslims in Ukraine.
Kiev
On Saturday, 3 of January in masjid “Ar-Rahma” in Kiev warmly welcomed everyone who want to celebrate birthday of Prophet Muhammad sponsored by Spiritual administration of Muslims in Ukraine(SAMU). Among visitors of the feast one could see very different people: from foreign diplomats to leaders of Muslim expat community, social figures and media representatives. They all were united by common prayer and all together rejoiced about birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
On 10 of January in the same masjid female committee of Spiritual administration of Muslims in Ukraine (SAMU) arranged creative event. Cosiness in the hall helped everyone to feel festive mood!
“Woman in Islam plays very important role. Islam respects women and create all conditions that is needed to develop as Muslim,” – Ahmad Tamim have said.
At such an important event children also were not forget. In the morning of 11 of January, to show their respect to Prophet Muhammad and to listen to the stories of his life, in masjid “Ar-Rahma” in Kiev gathered small Muslims. Arrangers of event, Spiritual administration of Muslims in Ukraine, tried to involve every child in the program. Kids performed before audience and got sweet prizes.
Odessa
On 10 of January many guests and citizens gathered in Odessa to celebrate birthday of Prophet Muhammad. On this event were also different honorable guests such as Sheikh Rustam Gafury, reader of holy Koran from Egypt – Sheikh Abassiry al Ahzary and others. The culmination of celebration and the great joy was brining of hair of Prophet Muhammad in Odessa. At the end guests got tasty prizes and small Muslims not less tasty sweets.
Zaporozhye and Melitopol
On 17 of January Muslims in Zaporozhye also celebrated birthday of Prophet. On this event also came Shekh Ahmed Tamim – mufti of Ukraine.
On 18 of January he also visited Melitopol.
Kremenchug
On 18 of January Muslims of local community in Kremenchug gathered in masjid of the city to share tr joy about religious feast. The evening that was dedicated to the birthday of Prophet Muhammad was started with reading of Koran. With congratulatory speech appealed Imam of masjid in Kremenchug Sheikh Tahir. Also came the leader of Muslim community in Kremenchug – Sobir Lasunin.
Poltava
In Poltava took pace festive occasions about the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. There are tragic events now in multinational society of Ukraine. That’s why the event began with words of sympathy to innocent victims. Varied program touched everyone’s feelings. The showroom of local community centre was filled with people.
