Ukraine in Arabic | Muslims expressed their love for Ukraine at the Congress
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On December 11th, the V Congress of Ukrainian Muslims took place at The Ukraine Palace. It was attended by 3628 representatives of more than 190 Muslim communities.
The event was organized by the Religious Administration Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU). “Once again I would like to stress that need to protect society from extremism and promote dialogue with all representatives of multinational and multi-Ukrainian society. Separatism is condemned by Islam and it appears due to the lack of true knowledge of Islam”, the Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim said. According to him, extremism happens because of political nationalist ambitions of people who consciously call for incitement to hatred. We have always opposed and condemned the ideology of extremist movements. Ukrainian Muslims led by DUMU established good relations with the community of this country. We have never isolated ourselves from others and always thought how to enter the integration. We’re the citizens of Ukraine, it’s our homeland and we’re a part of Ukrainian society”, he concluded.
Congress unanimously adopted a resolution which declared condemnation of all forms of extremism and xenophobia and continuation of the consolidation of Ukrainian society. Resolution also approved the intention to finish the construction and renovation of mosques and prayer rooms in Sumy, Poltava, Kherson, Melitopol, Simferopol and Kharkov.
