Ukraine in Arabic | Meeting of the Public Council was held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On November 4th, 2014, an open meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine was organized. The reelection of the chairman of the Public Council was on the agenda of the meeting. By decision of the majority vote of the Board the former deputy chairman Kozhushko Bogdan was appointed as a new chairman.
Change of Chairman of the Board was made due to the fact that Mr. Reshetnikov took the government post and has no more right to be the chairman of the Public Council of Ukraine.
The staff of Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine was approved on August 21st, 2014, by Culture Minister Yevgeny Nischuk. It consists of 110 public organizations that from 5 commissions, including Commission on Ethnic Relations.
The representatives of The International Union regularly take part in activities aimed at the protection and promotion of the rights of national minorities in the Ukrainian society. The organization aims to create favorable conditions for the life of different nationalities, cultures and religions in Ukraine.
