An American drone recently crashed in a government-controlled Iraqi desert area southeast of Baghdad, due to what the Pentagon called "technical complications."
Pictures circulated on social media this week of locals near Samawah, about 170 miles from the Iraqi capital, inspecting the wreckage of an MQ-1 Predator drone. Twitter user Steven Nabil posted that the crash occurred near a cement factory.
