Ukraine in Arabic | Iran to reach a final deal with the Group 5+1
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ An Iranian parliamentarian reiterated Tehran's determination to reach a final deal with the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany), but meantime stressed that Iran won’t accept any excessive demands by the world powers.
According to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran is ready to sign a final agreement on its nuclear program with the six international mediators if they officially recognize the country's peaceful nuclear rights.
Zarif made the comment following a meeting with Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende. Brende also expressed hope that the talks between Iran and the P5+1 group will end successfully soon. Brende also said that a new nuclear deal with Iran will create new opportunities in ties between Iran and the European Union.
The next round of negotiations on Iran's nuclear program is scheduled to take place on November 11 in Muscat, Oman, according to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Abbas Araqchi.
In November 2013, during talks held in Geneva, the P5+1 group of international mediators comprising Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, and Germany agreed to reach a deal with Tehran, guaranteeing the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, by July 2014. The deadline for the agreement was later postponed to November 2014.
The West has been accusing Iran of attempting to develop nuclear weapons under the guise of a civilian nuclear program, while Tehran argues that its nuclear development is aimed purely at meeting the country's growing energy needs and achieving other peaceful goals.
