Ukraine in Arabic | In Kiev was celebrated World Day of hijab
Kiev/Ukraine in Arabic/ This year world for the third time celebrated the World Day of hijab. Event is held on 1st of February. It is planned to make it a tradition in order to introduce this head-covering to as more people as possible.
"Our mission is to collect 10 million members on February the 1st year 2015 all over the world! It is organized every year for better awareness and understanding of this tradition - said one of the arrengersers of the festival in a statement posted on Facebook.
"We ask non-Muslim and Muslim women who do not wear the hijab, wear it throughout that day. Thus, any woman will be able to try on the image of the true Muslim and feel how it is. We want you to be able to learn and experience freedom in a slightly different meaning of it "- said one of the arrengers.
Interesting that in Ukraine this year festival was supported by the second time. In Kiev, in the "Islamic cultural center" arrenged and conducted a master class for wearing the hijab. The event was initiated by the women's organization, "Mariam." The holiday is still quite young, but on it have come many people to support. People wanted to know about the culture and traditions of Islam. It is reported by the Religious Information Service of Ukraine.
The arrengers did not stop only on hijab and invited the candidate of historical sciences, senior researcher of the Institute of Ethnology in National Academy of Sciences Oksana Kosmin. The scientist told about the appearance of Ukrainian handkerchief, its evolution, style and varieties, noting that cultural exchange is very important.
