Ukraine in Arabic | ‘From Terek to Dnieper’ Ukrainian-Chechen Festival was held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ ‘From Terek to Dnieper’ International Festival of Ukrainian-Chechen Friendship Society held in the capital of Ukraine from 22 to 24 October. The festival was organized by the Diaspora of Chechen people Ukrainian civil organization. The aim of the event was to show the culture and traditions of the Chechen Republic in Ukraine.
Within the festival the Chechen fashion show clothes, start of Chechen dance studio work, boxing tournament and the opening of friendship’s alley in Kiev. The concert of The Vaynah State Dance Ensemble become a final chord of the festival.
The exhibition of works of young Chechen Ti&Li designers and the exhibition of 30 paintings of Chechen artists were carried out in The Art Hall Kiev gallery. The Art Hall Kiev gallery director Yuri Krulikovsky admitted that Chechen paintings were presented there for the first time.
The boxing tournament in Kiev was attended by young sportsmen.
Honored trainer of the USSR Uvays Baisangurov said thet he was strucked by the desire of young boxers to fight until last bit of strength. “Their emotions impressed the audience and judges. I am sure that such events will bring great benefit to athletes”, - he said.
On October 23rd, the winners of tournamnet were determined and and awarded gifts and gratuities.
The Wednesday, October 24th, was the most important day of the International Festival of Ukrainian-Chechen Friendship Society. The Friendship without borders alley was opened in tne centre of th Kiev.
“The name of alley is very beautiful, wise name, without borders and time”, - the minister of culture of the Chechen Republic said after he has planted one of the trees.
From the Ukrainian side the tree was planted by head of landscaping of Kiev City State Administration Sergei Sadovoy. “I want to visit Chechnya to see the urban redevelopment of Republic”, - he said.
At the same day the agreement between The Diaspora of Chechen people, IU and Demeevskaya library was signed. The third event of the festival was the opening of the Chechen dance studios in the Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University. The Caucasian dances will be taught by Chechen choreographers Zara Dzhebrailova and Islam Indurkaev.
The festival was eneded with the dance concert of The Vaynah Chechen State Ensemble in The Ukraine Palace.
