Ukraine in Arabic | Egypt's parliamentary elections postponed

Egypt's parliamentary elections postponed, says euronews.com. This decision was taken after the Supreme constitutional court declared illegal the recently adopted amendment the division of constituencies. A new election date is still unknown.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The final decision on the fate of the elections will make the Supreme administrative court tomorrow, March 3rd.

Washington welcomes the decision by Egypt to be held in March parliamentary elections, said the official U.S. state Department spokesman Jen Psaki, RIA Novosti reported.

"We've seen a message and we welcome the news that Egypt is moving in the direction of parliamentary elections. Obviously, we're going to watch that," said Psaki on a regular briefing.

The higher election Commission of Egypt on Thursday officially announced the date of elections to the National Assembly (Egyptian Parliament), they will be held in two stages: the first will be held on March 21-23, the final will be held from 25 to 27 April.
