Ukraine in Arabic | Chief of Dudayev battalion Isa Munaev lost his life in ATO, not leting to tighten assault
Kiev/Ukraine in Arabic/ Several hours ago internet explode with massage about death of famous participant of ATO, brigadier general of Ichkeria, chief of “International peacekeeping battalion of Jokhar Dudayev” Isa Munaev.
First who reported this grievous news was deputy, chief of Donbass battalion and friend of brave fighter - Semen Semenchenko.
Many distrusted this news. As it was form one source and there were no clear details. It was and is known that many have died there including Munaev.
Injured battalion commander Semenchenko could say about last hours with Isa, but to the last there were doubts… as it is war… and there are many uncertainties…
But after several hours of waiting, famous activist and participant of ATO Amina Okueva, and then also Gennady Moskal(The head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration) confermed death of battalion commander.
Later about death of brigadier said deputy Boris Filatov. “Amina Okueva has called. She says: “Yes, Isa died. That is truth. By means of his life he didn’t let to tighten assault”,- he posted on his page in Facebook.
According to report of news officer of Dudaev battalion posted on site odcrisis.org, Chechen commander died on 1 of February in Donetsk area near Debaltsevo.”As instructor, he provided cover for subdivisions retreating from fighting after the successful conclusion of the task. Due to heroic actions, Isa Munaev has saved lives of dozen Ukrainian warriors, but died in the shelling”, - the report says.
Isa Munaev fought in both Chechen wars against Russion troops, in 1999 Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov appointed him commander of Grozny. After Munaev in the second Chechen war, was seriously wounded, he was taken from the Russian Federation and subsequently granted political asylum in Denmark.
Last year he arrived from Denmark to Ukraine, where he created the "International peacekeeping battalion of Jokhar Dudayev " within Ukrainian forces,fighting with pro-Russian separatists. In June 2014 Munaev recorded a video message in which he accused Russia of genocide of Chechens during the Chechen wars. In response, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov announced Munayev is wanted and declared readiness to send Chechen volunteers at Donbass in order to eliminate it.
According Munayev comrades-in-arms, he was going to appeal to the President of Ukraine with a request to obtain Ukrainian citizenship. Now his friends are going to apply for giving to the son of the Chechen people the Order of Liberty (posthumously) - Ukraine's state award, which is given for outstanding achievements of the citizens in the approval of the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Order of Freedom is the highest order of Ukraine, which may be awarded to foreigners.
