Ukraine exported about 20 million tonnes of grain in 2019
Ukraine has exported about 20 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of the 2019/2020 marketing year (MY), the press service of the Ukrainian State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
“Since the beginning of the current marketing year, Ukraine has exported about 20 million tonnes of grain crops, including more than 11.8 million tonnes of wheat (namely, about 9 million tonnes of food-grade wheat and over 2.9 million tonnes of fodder wheat), 3.2 million tonnes of barley, and 4.6 million tonnes of corn,” the report reads.
During the same period of the last marketing year, Ukraine exported about 14.5 million tonnes of grain, in particular about 8 million tonnes of wheat (namely, over 4.7 million tonnes of food-grade wheat and more than 3.2 million tonnes of fodder wheat), 2.8 million tonnes of barley, and 3.2 million tonnes of corn.
In addition, Ukraine has exported more than 3.8 million tonnes of oilseeds this marketing year compared to more than 2.1 million tonnes in the last marketing year.
