Ukraine and the United States signed a contract for a second batch of Javelin
Ukraine and the United States of America signed a contract for the supply of a second batch of Javelin anti-tank missile systems.
This was announced at a briefing by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zagorodniuk, reports RBC-Ukraine.
In particular, according to Zagorodniuk, the purchase of Javelin is a landmark event for Ukraine.
- We first purchased Javelin from the United States of America. This is really a landmark contract for us, ”he said.
Deputy Defense Minister for European Integration Anatoly Petrenko noted that during the fourth quarter, Ukraine entered into contracts for the supply of a second batch of Javelin.
- During the fourth quarter, due to the concentration of resources, we were able to conclude contracts for the supply of the second batch of Javelin anti-tank missile systems. We also order similar complexes of our national manufacturer, he stressed.
