Trade exchange between Ukraine and Egypt will grow significantly by the end of 2019, - Ambassador
It is expected that by the end of 2019, Egypt's trade with Ukraine will grow significantly. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine Yevgeny Nikitenko, who added that “in 2018 this figure was $ 1.65 billion. But in the first quarter of 2019 Ukrainian exports to Egypt increased by 26.8%, reaching $652 million. "
The ambassador noted that the statistics of the first quarter placed Egypt in third place among the world's importers of goods from Ukraine.
According to him, Ukraine considers Egypt a key country in maintaining peace and stability in Africa and the Middle East.
He added that "Ukraine stands in solidarity with the Egyptian government in decisive actions against extremism and terrorism, because the people of the Arab Republic regularly suffer from criminal acts of terrorists and suffer great losses."
