Georgian Foreign Ministry issued statement on the suggestion of Austria

There is no point of EU migrants’ relocation to Georgia on the agenda, announced the Georgian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the statement of the Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz about a possibility of creating refugee reception centers in Georgia, Egypt, and the Balkans.

"The issue of migrants’ relocation who are in the EU territory has never been discussed with Georgia. Mr. Kurtz did not address that issue a month ago, during his visit to Georgia. This issue is not on Georgia's agenda, since we cannot implement this project given the challenges we face," reads the statement of the ministry.
