The coin can be calculated in parallel with old banknotes On December 20, 2019, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) launched a new 5 denomination coin. Like the paper bill, the reverse of the coin is decorated with a portrait of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
The coin can be calculated in parallel with old banknotes. There is no set deadline for paper denominations of UAH 5, according to the NBU website.
