The EU Council has lifted sanctions from two associates of Viktor Yanukovych
On March 5, the Council of the European Union lifted sanctions from two senior officials during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych and extended the restriction against ten people.

"Today, the Council decided to extend for one year until March 6, 2021, the current freezing of assets against 10 persons who were found responsible for misappropriation of state funds of Ukraine or misuse of office, which resulted in the loss of state funds of Ukraine. two people were not extended, "the message said.
This decision will enter into force tomorrow, 6 March, following its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
