Pechersk District Court of Kyiv postponed the election of a measure of restraint for the former president The prosecutor's office asks Poroshenko to choose a measure of restraint in the form of a personal commitment. Earlier it was a question of arrest Petro Poroshenko until July 1. The judge announced it.

The next meeting will take place on July 1 at 14:00. The court will consider the prosecutor's office's request to elect a precautionary measure in the form of a personal commitment.

"They tried to give us a 'bribe' - to replace the arrest with a personal obligation. No, Poroshenko didn't take bribes, doesn't take and won't be », - the ex-president declared after meeting. He added that the court wants to confiscate his passports in order not to "mobilize the whole world in support of Ukraine."

What is Poroshenko being tried for?

Poroshenko is suspected of "issuing a clearly criminal order" as president in 2018, which persuaded the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Yegor Bozhko, to exceed his authority and official authority. Bozhok allegedly appointed Serhiy Semochko deputy head of the SZR on Poroshenko's orders.
