About a month has passed since the XVI International Specialized Exhibition "Arms and Security - 2019" was held in Kiev, at which the National Security and Defense Council, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine, and the Ukroboronprom Group showed promising developments in the field of military equipment and technologies, how the characteristics of the Lightning supersonic rocket (Bliskavka) became known, the layout that was presented at the exhibition.

The speed of a supersonic missile, which is the latest development of the Dnieper design bureau Yuzhnoye and the new generation of anti-ship missiles, is about 2000-2500 kilometers per hour, Dnipro Panorama reports.

This type of missile is planned to arm Su-27 fighters and Su-24M front-line bombers, which are in service with the Ukrainian army. The creators of "Lightning" assure that the installation of a rocket will require minimal re-equipment of aircraft. The missile can be equipped with high-explosive and high-explosive penetrating warheads.
