Study: Zelensky most trusted in Ukraine
Ukrainians show the most trust in President Volodymyr Zelensky (68%), Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov (52%) and film director Oleg Sentsov released from Russia (36%), according to a study conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from November 1 to November 7, 2019.
"Estimating the level of trust in politicians and public figures, only three of those whose surname was presented in the questionnaire are more likely to be trusted than mistrusted - Zelensky (68% of those polled trust him, 24% do not trust him), Razumkov (52% and 31% respectively) and Sentsov (36% and 29% respectively)," the study reads.
According to the survey, a significant proportion of respondents trust Holos (Voice) party leader Svyatoslav Vakarchuk (37%) and Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk (34%), but in respect of the former, the number of those who do not trust him (48%) exceeds the number of those who trust him, but in respect of the latter, the proportion of those who do not trust him (36.5%) slightly exceeds the proportion of those who trust him.
At the same time, respondents placed the most mistrust in former President Petro Poroshenko (79%), pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk (75%), Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko (70%), Interior Minister Arsen Avakov (69%), and co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life faction in parliament Yuriy Boiko (68%).
The survey was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from November 1 to November 7, 2019. A total of 2,015 respondents aged 18 years and older from all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea and occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, were interviewed. The poll's margin of error (excluding the design effect) does not exceed 2.3% with a probability of 0.95.
