Stoltenberg: invites Nato to provide support to Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has urged Allies to provide more practical support to Ukraine and Georgia.
Stoltenberg said this at a meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels on November 20, the Voice of America reported.
“We are working with our partners, both Georgia and Ukraine, in the Black Sea Region. And I urge Allies to provide the necessary resources, personnel, to make sure that we step up and provide more practical support,” Stoltenberg said.
He noted the importance of supporting Ukraine and Georgia as partners in the Black Sea region.
"NATO has increased its presence in the Black Sea Region over the last years. We agreed the package this spring in April to have more exercises to increase information-sharing," Stoltenberg added.
