Saudi authorities reported about decrease in the number of its citizens fighting for terrorists

The head of the press service of the Ministry of Interior estimated number of such militants in approximately in 2100 Saudi authorities say that the number of people, who are fighting abroad for extremist groups, has declined in recent years.
In addition, it was noted that at current time roughly 73 saudis was detained abroad for terrorism-related charges, while the number of people sympathetic to the ISIS has been steadily decreasing.
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mansour al-Turki, estimated the total number of citizens who have joined extremist groups in various regions of conflict in 2,093 people: 1540 in Syria, 147 in Yemen, 31 for each Pakistan and Afghanistan, and 5 in Iraq.
