Russian TV presenter Dana Borisova, who has recently visited Kyiv, has been banned from entering Ukraine for three years, the press service of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has reported in response to a request from Ukrainian NGO Media Detector.

"As of today, the person you are asking [Dana Borisova] has been denied entry to Ukraine for a term of three years," the report said.

The SBU said it was taking decisions to deny entry to foreigners or stateless persons in the interests of ensuring the national security of Ukraine. However, the agency did not specify when the TV presenter was banned from entering the country.

Borisova, who visited Russia-annexed Crimea in 2017 and called the peninsula "Russian," said on July 15 that she had arrived in Kyiv. She said she had no problems with the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service and the customs.
