Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Member of Parliament of Ukraine Refat Chubarov says Russia must be forced to sit down at the negotiating table to discuss its withdrawal from the Crimean peninsula, according to Censor.net.

"We should not waste time in creating an international platform for the de-occupation of Crimea and the restoration of rights of the Crimean Tatar people," Chubarov said at the session of UN Council on Human Rights, which runs from February 27 to March 3 in Geneva, Censor.net wrote.

We must force Russia to sit down at the negotiating table to discuss issues of its withdrawal from Crimea," he said. Earlier, Chubarov called on Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the government to convene a constitutional commission to draft amendments to the Constitution regarding the conversion of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea into the Crimean Tatar Autonomous Republic.
