Qatar company won the tender for lease of the Ukrainian port

QTerminals is one of the leading Qatari port operators

The company from Qatar won the tender for the concession of the port of Olbia in Nikolaev, while it pledged to invest about 3.4 billion hryvnias in the facility. In addition, about 100 million will go to the infrastructure of the city.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk.

QTerminals is one of the leading Qatari port operators, thanks to the cooperation with which annual concession payments will amount to 82 million hryvnias. Thanks to the concession, money will be attracted to the development of the port, and it remains fully state-owned.

"I am sure that an experienced investor will modernize the port infrastructure, attract new cargoes and routes, and will contribute to the enrichment and development of Nikolaev and Ukraine," Goncharuk said.

Recall that the law "On Concessions" was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in October last year and signed by the president. In January of this year, the Risoil-Kherson company won a concession tender for the property complex of the State Enterprise “Kherson Commercial Sea Port”.
