Pakistan celebrates Independence day
Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The holiday is celebrated on 14 August, the day Pakistan became an independent state.
Independence day is celebrated throughout the country with the ceremony of raising the national flag, honouring national heroes and fireworks are launched in Islamabad.
The main celebrations are held in the capital, where the President and Prime Minister raise the national flag over the Parliament building and give a congratulatory speeches (which are live). In his speech, the leaders talk about the achievements of the government, goals set for the future.
14 August in all provincial capitals of Pakistan hosts cultural events. In cities across the country carried the flag-raising ceremony by the Nazim of the city. In various private organizations raising the flag shall be the head of this organization. Also the changing of the guard at the mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
