"1 million 380 thousand Ukrainians visited Turkey in 2018. In 2019, the number [of Ukrainian tourists] has reached 1 million 560 thousand," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Ukraine Yağmur Ahmet Güldere said, the Turizm Gündcel media outlet reports.

He noted that the number was expected to increase by 8-10% next year, ranging from 1 million 684 thousand to 1 million 710 thousand people.

According to the ambassador, the flow of tourists from Ukraine could surge due to expansion of services in various areas of tourism.

Last year, a record number of tourists – 39.5 million people – visited Turkey, and tourism revenue grew by 12.3% up to $29.513 billion. In January – September 2019, more than 41 million foreign guests visited Turkey, and tourism revenue totaled more than $26 billion.
