Moldovan Prime Minister to Visit Ukraine
Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu will make an official visit to Ukraine on July 11, 2019
“My next official visits as prime minister will be to Kyiv on July 11 and to Berlin on July 16. I thank [Ukrainian] President Volodymyr Zelensky for the invitation and willingness to hold this meeting so quickly. Ukraine and Moldova have similar political experiences in the region, especially in the fight against corruption and the building of democratic and functional states focused on the needs and aspirations of citizens and have the same goal of European integration,” Sandu wrote on her Facebook page.
Close cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova will benefit security in the region and the lives of citizens living in both countries, she added.
According to a Ukrinform correspondent in Moldova, the press service of the Moldovan government reported that Sandu would meet with Zelensky and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
The Moldovan prime minister visited Bucharest and Brussels earlier in July.
