But at the same time EU must voice problems Germany will try to normalize relations with Turkey under President Tayyip Erdogan, German chancellor Angela Merkel said.
"We will try, but the situation shows that Turkey is going the wrong way in the issue of development of the constitutional state, it needs just to be stated," Merkel said at a press conference answering the question whether the normalization of bilateral relations under Erdogan is possible.
