The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, says that the capital will resume the work of food markets only if the epidemiological situation improves.

He said this during an online briefing on Wednesday, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

"For those who are discussing the possibility of opening markets ... I note: Kiev will not open markets! This will happen only if the situation in the capital improves," said Klitschko.

On March 31, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine determined the conditions under which food markets can resume work despite quarantine in the country.
