Increased death toll in The collapse of the building Lviv
The number of people killed in the collapse of a residential building in the Ukrainian town of Drohobych, Lviv region, rose sharply to eight, including one child, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said on Thursday.
"All residents of the collapsed building have been evacuated. They are provided with psychological aid. The issue of their temporary resettlement is being resolved," the report says.
As of 06:00 am, August 29, eight people were killed (including one child) as a result of the building collapse.
"Search and rescue operations have been completed. According to latest information, there are no people under the debris. Removal works continue," the State Emergency Service said. In total, 470 rescuers and 75 pieces of equipment were involved in emergency relief operations.
As reported, a gas explosion hit a four-storey apartment building on 101 Hrushevskoho Street at 02:46 on Wednesday night. All four storeys of one of the house sections collapsed as a result of the incident.
