Goncharuk announced infrastructural modernization in Ukraine
Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk announced the beginning of Ukraine’s infrastructural modernization, the purpose of which is the timely launch and implementation of the “Big Construction” project, for which the heads of regional state administrations are responsible.
He said this during a conference call with the leaders of the RSA.
“The President’s program“ Big Construction ”starts on March 1. We begin large-scale construction and overhaul of schools, kindergartens, reception departments of hospitals, stadiums and roads throughout the country. On the part of the government, we will provide the regions with everything necessary for the construction to start on time. The main task of the heads of regional state administrations is timely coordination of activities with relevant ministries and departments and coordination of work in the field, ”said Alexey Goncharuk.
He explained that the general logic of the Big Construction program is very simple.
In each region, a list of objects that the region plans to build or repair during the year should be agreed with the Ministry of Community and Territory Development. Until February 14, all regions must agree on a list of construction projects with the Ministry of Regional Development within the framework of the DFID, which for many is the main source of funding.
Separately, the regions should also coordinate with Ukravtodor a list of roads that they plan to build as part of the Road Fund. Priority is given to roads to supporting schools and hospitals.
