Financial Investigation Service complete this week in Ukraine
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Danyliuk has said that the bill on the Financial Investigation Service will be completed this week.
In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: “This week we are completing the bill on the Financial Investigation Service. Last Friday, the position on the division of jurisdiction was laid down. I thank all my colleagues for their constructiveness.”
Danyliuk also welcomed the decision approved by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov to liquidate the department of economic protection at the National Police of Ukraine.
In addition, according to the NSDC’s press service, at a meeting dedicated to the issues of drawing up the bill on the Financial Investigation Service, Danyliuk stressed that this will be an analytical service, not a force center, and will be aimed at preventing crimes in the financial sector. In particular, it will be engaged in detection, termination, disclosure and pre-trial investigation of crimes against the interests of the state in the sphere of finances and related spheres, and will reveal systems factors that lead to economic crimes and the commission of such crimes.
