Every fifth Ukrainian has no bank accounts
Only 22% of Ukrainians have bank accounts, it is shown by results of a nationwide survey of Ukrainian consumers of financial services based on the results of 2019, which was published on May 21 by the press service of the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund (FGVFL).
According to the fund, citizens' confidence in banks is gradually being restored, because in 2017 there were 2% more Ukrainians without bank accounts.
According to the study, the share of respondents who keep more than half of their funds in the bank in two years increased from 8% to 13%, and the percentage of people who have an urgent account slightly decreased - from 9% in 2017 to 7% last year.
And 76% of respondents admitted that over the past two years they had no negative experience interacting with banks.
