According to the head of the customs service Nefedov, there is now a very significant increase in the volume of imports of consumer goods, which indicates a decrease in smuggling. Nefyodov also noted a decrease in smuggling. This was reported by the head of the department Maxim Nefyodov on the air of radio "NV".

“In 2019, customs have lost 85% of cases against undervalued smugglers in the courts. Because, from a formal legal point of view, they are all good: they say they were lucky enough to buy an iPhone for $ 10, why does a customs officer think it should cost as much as listed on Apple's website? Then they go to court and sometimes our most honorable Themis in the world says: there is a one-page contract, it is necessary to return the money to these lucky businessmen, ”said Nefyodov.

According to him, there is now a very significant increase in the volume of imports of consumer goods, which indicates a decrease in smuggling. "As it is difficult for me to believe that Ukrainians began to buy not one phone but three phones, it means that part of the phones that were transported to gray is now declared, but our struggle is not over," the Head of the Customs Service emphasized.

We will remind, earlier the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared that the State customs service of Ukraine in January-February of the current year failed the plan of customs receipts to the state budget, and also did not eliminate completely smuggling.
