COVID-19 was affected by nearly 600 health workers - the Ministry of Health
In Ukraine, 594 health workers have become ill with the COVID-19 epidemic. This was announced at a briefing by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, Ukrinform reports on Tuesday, April 14.
"In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, 11,974 individuals with suspected COVID-19 have been identified in the territory of Ukraine, including 1,659 health workers, confirmed COVID-19 disease by PCR in 3,372 cases, including 594 health workers," Stepanov said. adding that 64 medical professionals confirmed the disease in the past 24 hours.
Also, according to Stepanov, 22 people, including three health workers, were recovered in the past 24 hours.
Note that in Ukraine, as of 9:00 am on April 14, there were 3372 COVID-19 cases recorded.
Recall that COVID-19 broke out in the seafood market in Wuhan, China (the administrative center of Hubei province), which has been closed since January 1. As it turned out, the first infection was caught by a shrimp salesman.
