Court arrested 65 Russian aircraft for flights to annexed Crimea
The Kherson City Court has arrested 65 aircraft of Russian airlines for violating the procedure for entering and leaving the annexed Crimea.
The press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reports.
“Under the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (based in the city of Kherson) is investigating criminal proceedings on the facts of violations by officials of foreign airlines of the rules of international flights and violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory (part 2 of Art. 332-1, Art. 334 and Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) ”, - the message says.
Since March 2014, Ukraine has closed the airspace over the occupied Crimea. The work of all airports of the annexed peninsula was officially closed.
